"D-Diana..." Akko huffed, turning her head away further, exposing more of that lovely curve of her smooth neck.

"Akko." Steely, cold blues kept the said girl frozen in place, unable to move just from the sheer power of her gaze.

"Please... don't... you shouldn't-"

“And why ever not, Akko?” Diana whispered against the graceful slope of paled skin.

“Because!”

“That’s not enough reason.”

“Diana!”

And she bit.

"DIANA!" Akko scolded, chopping the girl on the head as she pushed her away, rubbing the fresh, sore spot on her neck. "I told you, no!” She grumbled.

Diana rolled her eyes, unperturbed in the slightest. “It’s not that big a deal.” She huffed, looking away in annoyance.

Akko would beg to differ, eyes wide and fists quivering. “No, no, no. It is a big deal!” She said, shaking her head to emphasize her disagreement.

Diana remained stubborn, defiantly standing her ground.

Akko groaned in frustration, checking the nearby mirror to see if there was any residual scar, then quickly remembered something, slamming her head against the glass before whipping about to face Diana with a flare in her eyes.

“In the first place, I'm the vampire!"

"You say that, but I have more experience at retrieving blood from people than you do." Diana argued, finally casting Akko a glance, a smirk forming on her features as she marveled at her handiwork that now left a prideful mark on Akko’s fair skin.

‘How Lovely.’

"That's because they're your patients, you idiot." Akko reminded, crossing her arms with an eyeroll of her own. “It’s your job to do that.”

“Since when was I the idiot?” Diana replied, slightly offended. My, she was at the top of her class! A full-ride scholarship student who had a promising future ahead of her! And this... this... vampire dared to utter such insults to her esteemed name?!

Akko didn’t seem to have a proper comeback to that. Diana felt her lips twitch, ready to form a grin of victo-

“Since... Since now! Or whatever! Or whenever you do stuff like this!” Akko threw back, clearly still bothered by Diana’s actions.

“Huh?!” Diana marched forward, glaring down at the woman who was a few inches shorter than her- a detail that only served to feed her ego. “Well, it was not I who clumsily snuck into the Medical Laboratory Science’s building to steal blood bags, only to so easily get caught.” Diana fired.

“Like hell I knew you people had shifts! The past couple of nights, it had been empty while I was scouting!”

“Goes to show you couldn’t think ahead then. And you dare call me the idiot?”

“Well, I-! Grrr!” Akko growled, fangs bared as she stared up into triumphant blue.

“Seems like this is my win. Again.” Diana smirked, internally patting herself on the back for another debate win against Akko, as was their daily custom. “So much for the vicious and feared vampire.” She mocked, flipping her hair over her shoulder as she celebrated her victory by flopping lazily on the couch- an action she would ne’er do around others.

Her ears picked up a few mumbled, grumbled complaints, practically hearing the frustration and anger in their tone. As much as she wanted to enjoy her little victory after a stressful and tiresome day at the university, she found she could not completely indulge her unwinding session when someone was in a foul mood the whole time.

With a sigh, she looked over the couch arm, spotting the sulking girl poor herself a glass of tea- or so Diana had thought, but as Akko walked over to the couch, she placed the cup on the living room table right in front of Diana, silently offering it to the tired woman.

“Drink and rest.” She said simply, and walked off in the direction of the bedroom.

Diana huffed out a smile, feeling her heart flutter at the gesture. She downed the glass quickly, taking it immediately to the sink to clean it, knowing that Akko was bothered by little things like leaving it out on the table. Upon finishing her task, she happily made her way to the bedroom, finding Akko laying down on her stomach, facing away from the door.

Carefully, she approached the bed, and then gently dropped herself atop Akko, taking the girl’s cool hands in her own and intertwining their fingers. Kissing the back of Akko’s head, she then rested her own into the crook of the girl’s neck.

“I’m sorry...” She murmured against her skin, kissing the place she had bitten before.

“Mm.”

“Are we okay now?”

“Mm.”

“Really?”

“Mm.”

“...”

“Kiss me?”

And Akko did.

A/N: Yeyey! So basically, this is just going to be a bunch of random scenes- almost like a 4-koma type. There isn’t really a followed plot or anything. A silent yet familiar click from the hallway caught Akko's attention. Her hypersensitive ears tuned in on the succeeding sounds of the door swinging open, and banging shut. The footsteps she was used to hearing were a little heavier than they'd usually be, the floorboards creaking from the pressure.

Akko assumed the dull thud she just heard was Diana dropping her bookbag on the floor, that is, until she heard the tiny "ow" followed by whispered curses and a few groans.

Shutting the book she had picked up from one of Diana's many shelves, she exited the bedroom to find her lover in an odd position on the floor, almost as if she were doing a 'dogeza', only that the top of her head was pressed to the floor, her nose pointing towards her legs.

Akko stared for a moment, unsure of what to make of this display. A few blinks passed, and she heard a sighed whimper that was enough to launch her protective senses into overdrive as she quickly slid next to Diana, sitting on the floor and transferring the poor girl's head onto her lap.

Immediately, Diana turned to face her, shaky arms wrapped themselves around Akko's thin waist, hugging tight as Diana pressed her face into Akko's stomach. The latter could feel gentle kisses being placed through the fabric of her shirt, and her hands found their way into fluffy strands of messy hair.

Her fingers worked a gentle massage onto Diana's scalp while Akko hummed a tune in hopes of getting her to calm down some more. "I love you." She whispered in addition, hoping her feelings could help in any way.

Somehow, it seemed to have the opposite effect as Diana started to convulse, hiccups coming from her frame as Akko soon felt a warm wetness on her abdomen, followed by the tightening of her shirt as Diana crumpled it up in her fists.

"I'm so... stressed."

Akko felt her throat constrict, wanting to cry as well. But no, she had to stay calm. For Diana's sake. Leaning down, she pressed a kiss to her head, rubbing her palm gently down Diana's side and back, allowing her to cry it all out.

However, her crying only seemed to make Diana more and more tense by the minute, and Akko was beginning to get worried. She didn't want to panic, but she had no idea what to do either. She couldn't hope to get up and leave to retrieve something like water or any other soothing warm drink. She had already done all the other things she'd usually do for Diana when she was in distress. She was running out of options.

"Ah."

Suddenly, it clicked.

Diana yelped as she was carefully, but swiftly pushed onto the floor, Akko pinning her hands down as she leaned into the crook of Diana's neck. "It'll be quick, love."

A small squeak escaped Diana as Akko's fangs punctured the soft, pale skin, lips covering the area as she sucked out fresh blood bit by bit, controlling her thirst to take more than was necessary in that moment.

Diana's frustrated huffs soon turned into soft sighs as her tears ceased, the last few rolling down her cheeks and onto the wooden floor. Her hands that had been gripping Akko's shirt tight were now gently resting on her back as she pulled the shorter girl closer.

Akko delivered one final lick to the area she had bitten, placing a kiss for good measure as she rested her weight atop Diana.

"Better?" She asked quietly.

Diana nodded, hugging even tighter.

"Wanna talk about it?"

Akko felt Diana shake her head no, pressing a kiss to Akko's temple instead in a silent 'thank you'.

"Okay."

They stayed that way for a moment longer until the sun disappeared into the evening sky, and the only lights in the living room was from the open window facing the rest of the city.

Akko almost thought Diana had fallen asleep from how peaceful she was at the moment, however that was disproved as Diana asked her a question out of the blue.

"Why did you do that?" She questioned, referring to Akko's earlier actions of taking her blood without much warning.

"Ah..." Akko thought of what to say, peppering kisses along Diana's collarbone as she pondered. "I saw it in one of your fancy books. 'Bloodletting', was it? To like... help with high blood pressure or something."

Diana blinked.

"What?" She pushed Akko up slightly to give her an incredulous look. "Are you for real?"

Akko simply shrugged.

"I can't believe you!" Diana chuckled, still unable to wrap her head around that fairly logical approach of Akko's. "And how could you even say I was experiencing hypertension?"

"...Magic Vampire senses?" Akko tried. Diana looked at her amused. "Hey, I dunno! I just... I just know, okay? It's a feeling!"

"Yes, yes." Diana laughed, waving her girlfriend off, leaning up to place a chaste peck on her lips.

Akko grumbled through a blush as she knew there was no winning against Diana.

"Thank you." She murmured.

"I love you." Akko replied, getting a pinch on the nose, and another laughing kiss on the lips.

"I love you more."

A/N: Lemme tell you, I did very minimal research on if this is still applicable in this day and age. I think bloodletting/phlebotomy to relieve hypertension is making a comeback? Idk haha. I just remembered one of my lessons in phleb, Lol. Don't mind me. Anyway. Bye.

A Bloody Relationship Chapter 2: Feeding Time

“... Why are you curled up on the floor like that?” Diana asked skeptically, gazing upon her lover and wondering what she had done this time.

“...Your reaction is so weak. Is that it? After seeing your girlfriend huddled in pain like this?” Akko groaned, rubbing her side with a pale hand. “Can’t you at least be like... ‘Wah! Akko! Are you okay?! What’s wrong, sweetheart?!’ -Or something along those lines?” She complained, mimicking Diana’s usual accent and tone of voice with that tiny hint of bitterness from how she was feeling and how Diana was reacting to her current situation.

Diana sighed at the childish, and somewhat worrisome display. Sure, maybe she was responding halfheartedly, and yes, Akko did look like she was in a lot of pain. However, Diana would like to think that she’d known Akko enough to be able to distinguish when the vampire was in any form of serious danger, and when things were just the foolish consequences of her own actions.

“What did you do?” She asked, crossing her arms as she squatted down beside Akko.

“Why do you say that as if you think this is my fault?”

‘Because I do.’ Diana’s deadpanned gaze and raised brows were all Akko needed to see to actually ‘hear’ Diana’s response in her head.

“Ugh...”

“Did you try to wear my jewelry again?” Diana started to list all the usual possibilities off, too tired- again- to entertain Akko’s shenanigans. Again.

“What- no! That stuff burns!” She replied.

“So does the sun. Did Amanda ask you to go jogging with her this afternoon then?”

“Huh? No!”

“Did Lotte insist you bath with the shower? Did you start smelling?”

“What? No!” Akko exclaimed horrified. “D-do I ever?”

“I guess not.” Diana shrugged, before looking very serious.

Somehow, Akko knew she was anything BUT that at the moment.

“...”

“...”

“Diana, whatever you’re thinking, I don’t think it’s that.”

“Did Sucy ask you to read her Bible-”

“Diana.”

And Diana finally cracked, breaking into a grin as she giggled, raising her hands in surrender.

“I knew you were shitting with me. Fine, Fine! Take your stress out on me!” Akko moaned with a pout, rolling onto her back, limbs splayed out as she exposed her stomach to Diana who gently reached down to rub it.

Already, Akko was starting to feel better as she sighed in contentment.

“Thank youuuu.” She purred, taking Diana’s free hand to place a soft kiss to her palm in gratitude.

“You’re very welcome, dear.” Diana chuckled, leaning down to place a chaste kiss on Akko’s stomach.

They sat in the quiet of their living room, the afternoon birds providing them soft background music as they lived in that one moment of peace and rest.

“So was it Ramen or Garlic bread?”

Sometimes, Akko wasn’t quite the one who broke said peace.

“...garlic bread.”

“Cheesy?”

“Very.”

“...”

“...sorry.”

“You should have left some for me.” Diana said, pinching Akko’s side enviously.

“Fridge.”

“Huuuhhh?? You know I don’t like it cold!” Diana whined, laying herself over Akko’s stomach.

“TOAST IT, woman!” Akko complained back. “At least I left you some!”

“When you put things like that in the refrigerator, the texture becomes strange, even after toasting!” Diana frowned, shifting herself so she now lay parallel atop Akko, chin resting on Akko’s chest. “Where did you get it?”

“You’re really gonna buy a new loaf? Just because you don’t like the texture?”

“Yes.” Diana’s response was so quick, Akko rolled her eyes.

“You can be oddly petty.”

“Says you.”

“Says me, indeed.” Akko stuck her tongue out at Diana, only for the woman to do so back. “Oh my gosh. The esteemed Diana Cavendish just poked her tongue out childishly, towards the innocent, pained me. Dear Lord, this child was raised without manners!” Akko mocked.

Diana slapped Akko’s cheeks lightly, pressing them together as she frowned at the teasing.

Akko’s eyes shone with mischief, daring Diana to release her so she could make some other foolish comment.

Diana hated that she was curious.

“Stick your tongue out again.”

“So that you can make fun of me? No, thank you.” Diana huffed, turning her head away and pressing her ear to Akko’s chest instead, searching for a non-existent heartbeat.

“Oh come on, please? It’ll be quick. I swear I won’t do it to tease you.”

Diana shifted her head, looking into Akko’s eyes, searching for any trickery in them. Upon finding none, she relented with a nod, hesitantly allowing her tongue to peek out from between her lips-

Only for it to be taken between Akko’s as the girl initiated a rather deep kiss, wrapping her arms around Diana’s slim waist and pulling her closer.

Diana felt the corners of her mouth tip up into a smile as she pressed back, allowing her tongue to explore Akko’s mouth, carefully swiping over her sharp fangs and feeling a tingle of pleasure run down her spine at the sensation.

Akko bit on her lower lip lightly, teasing with those same fangs, making Diana wonder if she’d go so far as to puncture them- actually, low-key wanting Akko to, she shamefully acknowledged.

She made a disappointed noise when it didn’t happen, and she pinched Akko’s arm when the girl laughed into the kiss knowingly.

Running her tongue along the roof of Akko’s mouth, she internally grinned in triumph at the moan she was able to coax out. Her hands began to run along the curve of Akko’s neck, drawing random shapes down to her collarbone.

Diana’s breath hitched when she felt a finger slip under her blouse, immediately pulling away as she swatted Akko’s hands off, and sat up to recover all the air she’d lost in those few moments.

Akko grinned at her, not at all breathless. Diana was a little bitter about that fact, frowning at Akko’s easygoing demeanor after what she considered an intense session.

“I have school tomorrow.”

“No, you don’t.” Akko grinned wider. “You gave me a copy of your schedule, right?”

Diana huffed, annoyed at her smugness. “Then what about your upset stomach?”

“Hmm?” Akko tilted her head, pretending not to know anything. “Oh, this little thing?” She asked, pointing to her belly. “Psh, all better.” She waved the issue away with her hand. “Definitely better... especially after that.” She murmured, eyes lidded and voice dropping low.

Diana felt her face flush, suddenly unable to look Akko in the eye.

“Y-You... is it... feeding time?”

“...”

Diana caught Akko blinking dumbly, before she burst into a fit of giggles.

“Crap, ahahahaha, okay. Okay, that was awkward and endearing as hell. Hahahahaha!” Akko wiped a tear from her eye, as Diana continued to grumble embarrassedly.

“You don’t have to laugh so hard.”

Akko calmed down, sitting up as she embraced Diana gently, before quickly picking her up bridal style, and marched in the direction of the bedroom.
